MARKS AND THEIR LABELS
S Start, specifically the Start/Finish line pin
i.e. Port is the default way to start and to round a mark in our races. If the S were underlined, you would pass the pin to starboard when starting.
F Finish, specifically the S/F pin
2 Go around course twice.
3 Go around course thrice (i.e. 3 times)
The following marks are usually yellow tetrahedrons and commonly used for triangle and windward/leeward courses. They may also be used to provide a shorter course for the small boats or a truer (to the wind) course for any class. They could be set up anywhere in the bay.
