The 505 PCC has come and gone, and has left smiles on the faces of many 505sailors, a host of dedicated volunteers, and even untold accidental spectators as they marveled at the speed and grace of these world class dinghies. I just want to acknowledge the hard work of not just Dan and me but also Sugar Flanagan, Sean Rankins and a veritable army of willing folks who helped us host this event. Special thanks to Chris and Kathy Grace for providing a perfect Race Committee platform in their trawler, Petrel! Also, thanks to Jeff Gibbons, whom I forgot to acknowledge at the awards gathering. He provided expert IT support for tabulating the race results. More to come soon about the event.

I like it! Really smooth and quick. Looks like he trips the mast, then the guy, then makes the new guy and finally the mast again. One thing I wonder about -- how does he grab the new guy so easily and reliably every time; it always seems to be flying two feet out of reach when I'm up there...

cheers,
Lynn

So many interesting parts of that video but I love the way the bowman pushes the pole forward and then leans on the guy to help bring the pole back for the trimmer.

"The sailing team is a program of the Northwest Maritime Center sponsored by the Jefferson County YMCA and Port Townsend High School as well as many local businesses."

Why aren't we listed as a sponsor of the sailing team? If there's one organization in town we should support, the sailing team is it.
